| Perched on the banks of Jakey's Fork just before it joins the Wind River, let this spacious bed and breakfast be your "home away from home" while you explore the upper Wind River Valley -- the Wind River Indian Reservation, Yellowstone, and the Tetons are only an hour away. Surrounded by national forests and wilderness areas, the Valley is known for its majestic beauty and gentle climate. |

"The Homestead experience and proximity to wilderness make this B&B one of the best we've stayed at." - New Jersey
|
The foothills of the Wind River Mountains rise in front of the house, leading to some of the most pristine wilderness areas in the lower 48. |
From
hiking and rock hunting to fishing and photography there's plenty to do in
the Dubois area all year long. You may decide to remain on the acreage enjoying the pleasant creek-bottom ambiance, or fishing in the pristine waters of Jakey's Fork. The hammocks stretched out in the shade and the sound of cool running water have enticed many guests to stay an extra day or two. |
"A great place for
kids who love animals and water"
New York
| If you're looking for history, spend a night or a week in the historic Simpson Homestead bunkhouse (just across Jakey's Fork from the main house) and hang out with the Wild Bunch. Butch Cassidy and partner Al Hainer spent Christmas here with the Simpson family in 1889. According to one old-timer, it was a jolly occasion with lots of laughter, games and plenty of old-fashioned eggnog. |

"Carolyn and her daughter Anna have welcomed us back for two years. They are wonderful hostesses in a lovely country setting" - Colorado
